Our Heart Behind the Brand

Dottie Jean Design Co. was created from a desire to make meaningful and fun apparel that feels authentic, wearable, and (mostly) rooted in faith. We know life is busy, messy, and often overwhelming—and sometimes all it takes is a small reminder to refocus, trust, and return to what matters most.

Many of our designs draw inspiration from:

  • Our own lives and interests as moms in the midwest
  • The lives and words of the Saints
  • The beauty of prayer and devotion
  • The truth that God’s love is constant, welcoming, and full of mercy

Our Saint Shirts, in particular, are designed as wearable prayers, inviting intercession and reflection through simple, intentional details—because faith doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful.

Where the Name Comes From

The name Dottie Jean is rooted in family, faith, and legacy.

Dottie is inspired by our paternal grandmother, Dorothy—a woman whose life reflected strength, love, and quiet faithfulness. Jean comes from the middle name of our maternal grandmother, honoring the joy, warmth, and love she poured into her family.

Together, Dottie Jean represents the women who came before us—women whose influence continues through generations. This brand exists to honor that legacy by creating pieces that are meaningful, intentional, and rooted in love, just like the women behind the name.
